The creation of a Noivern
AAAAAA
THIS IS SO COOL
I love this Pokemon so much
Pokémon time! Did you know that…
• A skateboard item was planned for inclusion in Pokémon Gold & Silver?
• This item would have allowed you to get up ledges?
• An unused movement type that may correspond to the Skateboard can still be found in the game’s code?
Investigate here!
Thank you for adding that as well-!

Love Pokémon Red & Blue? Then you have to check out this newly translated early concept art & design doc!
Did you know that…
• Trainers were originally going to fight alongside their Pokémon?• That Pokémon originally featured a Charisma stat that would let you befriend monsters?• That there were originally 200 Pokémon?• That some Pokémon got massive redesigns?
Have a look see, I guarantee it’s a really good read-!
I’d always wanted to stop and sit myself down to write about this subject; but due to recent events preventing me from having too much free time, I’d more or less wanted to stay away from the internet for a while-for the most part. Anywho, what I’d like to open up for discussion is a topic that I found peculiar, and interesting: Is that when shiny Pokemon were introduced, a few of their shiny color palettes from the gen 2 games did not actually make it to the gen 3 and onwards games; I think I’ll just cover a handful of them, so here we go:
One that I still find pretty entertaining to this day is none other than everyone’s favorite fire lizard, Charizard:
As you can see the first thing that’s immediately noticable from the shiny sprite to the left is the fact that instead of a dramatic black and red palette, the shiny Charizard in the Gold and Silver games was more of an extremely pale violet-or mulberry with the inside of its wings being green. I’m not sure why Game Freak decided to suddenly change its shiny palette to the one that we all know and love today, but let’s be honest: It’s probably a HUGE improvement.
I can’t honestly say that I feel the same about what they did with Kangaskhan:
The first shiny palette to the left is, in my opinion, vastly superior to the right-the right shares a huge similarity to Kangaskhan’s normal colors, except they’re only slightly different, a little lighter in some areas but that’s just about it, who can ay for certain why Game Freak wanted to stick to the earthy color tones compared to the grey-blue+green palette similar to the Kangaskhan’s joey? We may never know-!
And last, but certainly not least, is the weird little bit of roundabout that they did with Paras:

The Paras sprites to the left are in fact its nonshiny colors while the ones to the right are its shiny colors; Paras was a vivid red by default in GSC while its shiny coloration was a brownish-orange, but then those two palettes were swapped in the 3rd gen games, and has been that way since.
That’s it for this segment on shiny Pokemon and just how interesting a lot of them are-or have been, there were a few other Pokemon that I wanted to cover-but I felt that making this terribly lengthy wouldn’t have been such a good idea. I hope everyone enjoyed this little mini-review/quick look into them and how different they’ve become from the time when they were first released!
The post will be edited to make things clear that the information and Pokemon itself are of dubious origins and may in fact be false-unless other sources actually support its validity, Kage no Mushi’s entry will not be deleted from this blog, but edited instead, thank you everyone who offered their advice-!
Editing the post to explain the situation would be best imo; it’s journalistically unethical to just delete a mistake like that..?
Is it really? I just though it would be irresponsible to keep it up, but then again if there’s even the slightest chance that it’s actually real, then it’d be a pretty bad idea to delete it now?
